Location: Wellington Park is located at 1000 Forest Park Way, Cary, NC, USA — Directions

Parking: Parking is ample near the pool. However, if for some reason the parking lot gets full, street parking is allowed along Forest Park Way. Arbor Creek team will have space to set up on the left (near side to the entry) side of the pool. Because our pool deck is not very large we stack the lounge chairs and encourage you to bring folding chairs. Your side of the pool is shaded by 5 so you should not need tents.

Warm-Ups: Wellington Park will warm up 5-5:30. Arbor Creek will warm up 5:30-6.

Parent/Volunteer Meeting: Meeting around 5:30 to make sure everyone is comfortable. WP's announcer/starter and Clerk try to run a fast meet. This is important because there are no lights so the meet must finish by sundown. The pool is 6 lanes, 25 yards and does not have blocks.

Concessions: Concession stand within our clubhouse.

Address - 5729 Brushy Meadows Drive in Fuquay-Varina, NC.

Pool - 6-lane, 25 yard pool.

Swimmers - Crooked Creek expects about 50 swimmers.

Time - Visiting team warm-ups start at 5:30, the first event starts at 6:00. Please ensure that each swimmer's number is easily visible on their arm prior to the meet.

No Lighting - Crooked Creek does not have lights for the meet, so will need to finish the meet by about 9 pm.

Timing/Scoring System - We use stopwatches and paper & pencil to record times (which are entered in Meet Maestro following the meet). Crooked Creek will print timing sheets and record & enter times for lanes 1/3/5 and Arbor Creek will do the same for lanes 2/4/6. Place judges/recorder are used to determine order of finish and scores.

Parking - The hard-surface parking lot is reserved for Arbor Creek families. Spaces are limited, carpooling is encouraged. Overflow parking is in the grassy area between the pool and tennis courts. Please ask leave a "lane" open so that cars can enter and exit the overflow parking areas and park several rows deep, where space allows. Please do not park on the grass in yards along the road and be cautious driving on our curvy roads. Crooked Creek does not have sidewalks, but does have many walkers, joggers, kids, and pets.

Pool Deck - Arbor Creek’s base for the evening is the area by the kiddie/shallow end of the pool. There are no permanent shade structures, so you may want to bring canopies if you have them. Our furniture is not accessible for the meet, so families should plan to bring their own chairs.

Concessions - Serving pizza, hot dogs, candy, chips, novelty ice creams, water, soda, and other snacks.

Parent/Coach Relay
If time and sunlight permits, during final score tabulation at the end of the meet, we are invited to participate in a parent/coach relay, where each leg swims 50 yds freestyle. Contact David if you are interested.

Volunteering – Several families are on vacation the week of July 4. We still have a few open slots for volunteer positions. If you haven't already, please sign up.

Volunteer Meeting - We will conduct a "meet brief" at 5:45p. All volunteers will be called for a quick huddle, matching volunteers from both teams together (i.e. Stroke and Turn officials from both teams), and answer any questions volunteers may have about the meet.

Parking is limited but there is street parking available. Please abide by the no parking signs, we don't want anyone getting a ticket or towed during the meet.

Time - We will warm-up from 5:30p to 6:00p. The national anthem will be played at 6p and the meet will start immediately following the anthem.

Volunteer Meeting - Kitt's Creek will conduct a "meet brief" about 15 minutes prior to the start of the meet. All volunteers will be called for a quick huddle, matching volunteers from both teams together (i.e. Stroke and Turn officials from both teams), and answer any questions volunteers may have about the meet.

Order of Events - Kitt's Creek does *not* have lights. They have more than 100 swimmers. The TSA Rep expects to run full heats for freestyle, and backstroke. It's likely that the TSA Rep will switch to *Main Heats only* for Breaststroke and Butterfly before finishing with freestyle relays. Time permitting, we will go back and run the additional heats for Breaststroke and Butterfly.

Concessions - Kitt's Creek has a wide variety of concessions available at the meet. We've been told to come hungry. We will share a copy of the menu as soon as possible, which includes a variety of sandwiches.
