2025 Arbor Creek at Crooked Creek

In case of weather delay or postponement, the meet will continue on Wed. Directions Pool and Team Information: This pool has 6 lanes and is 25 yards long. This pool is not licensed to operate past dusk. This pool has starting blocks. Timing System Used: Time Drops Swimmers Crooked Creek expects about 60 swimmers. Please ensure each swimmer's number is easily visible on his/her arm prior to the meet. No Lighting CC does not have lights for the meet, so we will need to finish the meet by about 9pm. Dive-overs for the 11+ swimmers to keep the meet moving as quickly as possible. Parking The hard-surface parking lot is reserved for Arbor Creek. Spaces are limited, so please carpool if possible. Overflow parking is in the grassy area between the pool and tennis courts. Please leave a "lane" open so that cars can enter and exit the overflow parking areas. Please do not park on the grass in yards along the road and be cautious driving on the curvy roads (no sidewalks). Pool Deck Our home base for the evening is the area by the kiddie/shallow end of the pool. There are no permanent shade structures, please consider bringing a 10x10 pop-up if you have one. Their furniture is not accessible for meets, so you should plan to bring your own chair. Concessions The concession stand will be serving pizza, chicken sandwiches, candy, chips, novelty ice creams, water, soda and other snacks. It is cash only. Parent/Coach Relay Coaches/parents relay with each leg swims 25yd freestyle at the end of the meet. Let Sam know if you are interested....we will have as many teams as possible. |

Swimathon

The Swimathon is our biggest fundraiser of the year, where swimmers collect donations for each lap they swim, and then swim as many laps as they can in a period of time. Rules:

Prize: The top fundraiser will win the opportunity to “pie a coach” with a whip cream pie at the End of Season Party AND their parent(s) do not have to volunteer at the last away swim meet (Crooked Creek)! 2025 Arbor Creek Swim at Wellington Park

Directions: The address is 1000 Forest Park Way There should be plenty of parking for both teams, and there is street parking allowed if it gets full just outside the lot entrance. From Holly Springs, take US 1 North to Exit 99 onto Cary Parkway. Turn right at top of ramp onto Cary Parkway. Left onto Thurston Road. Left onto Wellingborough Drive. Proceed through traffic circle to Forest Park Way. Take the First right on Forest Park Way; this is the parking lot to the pool/clubhouse. Pool: This pool has 6 lanes and is 25 yards long. This pool does not have lights and is not licensed to operate past dusk. This pool uses portable wooden starting blocks. The pool deck is mostly shaded by 6pm and there will be several tables with umbrellas on our side of the deck. Timing System Used: Time Drops (a timer from each team per lane) + OOF Concessions: Concessions Team plans to have NY Pizza for sale, as well as variety of snacks and beverages for dinner. Cash or Zelle is preferred but Pay Pal and Venmo can be accessed if necessary. Relays: There will be a parent/coach relay and it be done at the end of all races. We hope to have at least TWO teams competing. This is open to any parent/guardian in addition to our coaches. Ribbons: Ribbons will be printed and delivered to our team no later than Thursday. Ribbons will be available on the pool deck at the next available practice. |

Directions: From U.S. 64 Westbound, take the Apex Downtown exit. Turn left at the stop sign. Take the first right onto Old Jenks Road. Follow Old Jenks to Holt Road. Turn right. Follow Holt Road to Jenks Carpenter Road. Turn right. Devereaux is the first subdivision on the left. Pool is straight ahead. Pool and Team Information: This pool has 6 lanes and is 25 meters long. This pool has deck lighting and is licensed to operate at night. This pool has starting blocks. Timing System Used: Time Drop Location and Parking Information Our pool is located at: 500 Wakehurst Drive, Cary, NC 27519. If you enter from Jenks Carpenter Road, the pool will be straight ahead. There is limited parking in the parking lot which is reserved for our team. There is street parking; however, it is only allowed on the pool side of the street. There will be no parking signs to indicate not to park on the opposite side of the street. Please do not park where you will block/restrict driveways. Facility There is limited pool deck space. If tents and chairs are brought, they will need to be set-up outside of the gated pool area. There is a very limited level, grassy space outside the pool area to set-up tents and chairs. Our swimmers can set-up on the entry side/under the shade canopy. They have a 6 lane, 25 meter pool. They have lights and can swim past dusk. Concessions They offer concessions with nachos, pizza, fruit, chips, Gatorade, candy, and water. They use an electronic payment system, so please be aware that they only accept cards and Google/Apple pay. No cash, please. Warm ups The pool will be available for our team to warm up at 5:30 p.m. Pre-meet Briefing There will be a pre-meet briefing promptly at 5:45 p.m. in the parking lot. Mock Meet (Time Trial)

The Arbor Creek Dragons Time Trials are set for Tuesday, June 3! The time trials are used for "seed" times for our first meet. We treat the time trials like a home meet. The time trials are a low-stress, great opportunity to learn. We will give step-by-step instructions and go very slow at the beginning of the meet so that everyone understands how each event works. Swim Meet #0 - Arbor Creek Time Trials No hatchling-specific practice. You are welcome to come join in the fun! Warm-up: 5:30 PM - ALL SWIMMERS should be ready (wearing swim uniform and cap, if needed) Volunteer Meeting: 5:40 PM - At the ping pong table. Everyone will have an opportunity to try/shadow a position for the first half and then we will switch roles midway through the meet to try/shadow a different position in the second half. Start: 6:00 PM - After the national anthem! Host: TARHEEL SWIMMING ASSOCIATION Meet Director: Jenny Smith Site: Triangle Aquatic Center, 275 Convention Drive, Cary, NC 27511 Facility Course includes a 10-lane, 25-yard competition course with a variable depth ranging from 7 to 12 feet. There is a Swiss Timing Quantum timing system that will include automated touch pads, at least one semi-automatic plunder and at least one watch per lane with an HD video scoreboard. Hy-Tek Meet Manager software will be used. There will be no warmup/cool-down lanes available during the event. Locker rooms are available to participating swimmers only. Only meet participants, volunteers, and officials may be on the pool deck. There is a seating capacity for 1,000 spectators on the viewing level. No chairs are allowed on the viewing level. (Swimmers may have a chair on deck.) There will be NO PARKING in the pool parking lot. You may use the swimmer drop off lane to drop off your swimmer(s) before parking. Food and refreshments will be available at the concession stand in the main lobby. NO glass containers are allowed inside the facility. NO smoking or vaping is allowed inside the facility. Meet Schedule **MEET ENTRY DEADLINE IS Tuesday, July 9, 2024 AT 9:00 PM** Session 1 times are final, all other session times will be announced approximately 1 week prior to the meet. Session 1 Warm-up: 7:15am Session 1 Start Time: 8:00am Session 2 Warm-up: 10:45am (est) Session 2 Start Time: 11:30am (est) Session 3 Warm-up: 2:00pm (est) Session 3 Start Time: 2:45pm (est) Session 4 Warm-up: 5:00pm (est) Session 4 Start Time: 5:50pm (est) Parents must meet their swimmer OUTSIDE the front door at the end of each session. Volunteers Teams are expected to provide volunteers based on the size of your team participating. Entry Limits Swimmers may swim in a maximum of three (3) individual events and two (2) relays (1 Free & 1 Medley), except for 6 & Unders, who are limited to a maximum of two (2) individual events and two (2) relays. Each team is eligible to enter three (3) relay teams per relay event, but only one (1) may score. Swimmers must swim in the age group that they were in as of June 1, 2024 for individual events. Swimmers may “swim up” for relays as stated in the TSA rules. Entry Instructions Parents should declare their swimmer attending the TSA Championship Meet linked to our team’s Swimtopia account. Similar to dual meets, parents should then select which event(s) each swimmer will be participating in. Relays will be determined by the fastest times possible. The TSA Championship meet is open to all swimmers in the league, regardless of whether their team chooses to participate as a team. A TSA rep or Coach will need to help swimmers navigate the entry process. A waiver needs to be completed for all swimmers participating in the meet.
